Trent Alexander-Arnold in contact with THREE Liverpool stars ahead of return

Trent Alexander-Arnold makes his return to Anfield on Tuesday. He's already been in touch with three Liverpool players.

Trent Alexander-Arnold left Liverpool for Real Madrid in the summer and it was inevitable that he'd one day return to Anfield wearing white. Though, few could have imagined it would come so soon.

But Tuesday marks the return date, assuming Alexander-Arnold does get onto the pitch. He's been battling an injury in recent weeks and wasn't on the pitch as Real Madrid beat Valencia this weekend.

That was a fixture he was supposed to use to work his way back to fitness. Instead, the Scouser sat on the bench for the 4-0 win.

So will he actually feature in the UEFA Champions League? We're not 100 per cent sure - but it would be a shock to see him sit it out.

Alexander-Arnold will naturally be the headline for the fixture, after all. He's already doing his interviews ahead of it, talking with Amazon Prime about the big return.

Trent Alexander-Arnold to return

Alexander-Arnold revealed in his interview that he’s been talking with at least three Reds. It sounds as though spirits are positive - if only because this return felt inevitable.

“I spoke to Robbo [Andy Robertson], Mo [Salah], Ibou [Konate],” he said. "We were just laughing because I think everybody knew it was going to happen.

“But you just have to put emotions to the side and play the best football game that you can.”

Alexander-Arnold was also adamant that he’ll forever love Liverpool FC. Yes, he wants to win on Tuesday but he still considers himself a fan - even after ditching them for Real Madrid.

“I’ll always love the club, I’ll always be a fan of the club,” he explained. "I’ll always be thankful for the opportunities and the things we achieved together – they’ll live with me forever.

“No matter what, my feelings won’t change towards Liverpool. I’ve got memories there that will last me a lifetime and, no matter how I’m received, that won’t change.”
