Liverpool wonderkid confirms intentions, Arne Slot will be delighted
Over the past decade Liverpool have had a number of truly top talents pass through their academy.
Trent Alexander-Arnold, Curtis Jones, Harvey Elliott and Jarell Quansah are just some of the players that have progressed from the Reds’ youth ranks to consistent first-team football.
There are several players currently in the club’s academy that have clearly shown their potential to become elite talents too.
For many academy players a loan move is the best option to secure regular first-team minutes, and one of Liverpool’s on-loan stars has announced that he is ready to make a huge impact in the coming weeks.
Lewis Koumas ready to step up
Although the first half of the season did not go to plan for Lewis Koumas, the 20-year-old has excelled since he joined Hull City in the winter window.

The forward has already scored three goals in less than 500 minutes for the Tigers, scoring the second in Hull’s 2-1 win over Wrexham on Tuesday night.
Koumas has already earned nine caps for Wales, and the youngster is hoping to really make his mark in the upcoming international break.
Craig Bellamy’s Wales are preparing for a World Cup qualifier play-off semi-final against Bosnia and Herzegovina and Koumas will be looking to score his first international goal.
“It's a massive campaign. We're all looking forward to it and hopefully we'll get the job done,” Koumas told BBC Radio Wales. “Hopefully I can make an impact.”
“I'm loving it here at Hull. It's a really great place to be around and I'm just really happy in general,” he added. “I'm looking to develop and I feel like it's going great here. I'm just excited now for the rest of the season.”
The 19-year-old isn't the first Liverpool player to thrive on loan at Hull either, with both Tyler Morton and Fabio Carvalho enjoyed successful spells with the Championship club in recent years.
Koumas has already impressed in his short time at the MKM Stadium, but a crucial goal that aids Wales in World Cup qualification would go a long way towards securing a place in Arne Slot’s plans for the youngster next season.
The Reds have desperately struggled in front of goal at times this season, and if Koumas can continue his fine form he may have a real opportunity to force his way into the Liverpool XI ahead of the next campaign.
