Victor Osimhen offer is too CRAZY to ignore

Liverpool have an offer for Victor Osimhen on the table and they simply cannot ignore it. This could be a massive one.

Liverpool are in the market for a striker this summer. That can't possibly be a shock to anyone after last season.

The Reds went through the campaign with two recognised centre-forwards: Darwin Núñez and Diogo Jota. Each proved to be far too unreliable, though in totally opposite ways.

Núñez just can't score consistently enough. The Uruguayan is absolutely incredible at virtually every else, including finding chances for himself. He just doesn't score them.

Jota does typically take his chances. His problem is getting on the pitch - he featured in around one third of Liverpool's total Premier League minutes last season.

And so the Reds are after a game-changing striker who could move them up a level. Alexander Isak is the dream, but likely unobtainable.

Hugo Ekitiké is another consistently linked with a move but again, he may be too expensive for what he is at this stage. Liverpool don't seem keen enough to push a deal through.

But there's another option: Victor Osimhen. And what an option it is.

The Victor Osimhen offer

Liverpool are in talks with Napoli right now over two potential sales. The Italian champions like both Nuñez and Federico Chiesa, with the Reds open to selling both.

And those talks allegedly brought about a third conversation over Osimhen. Napoli will almost certainly sell the Nigerian this summer, though it won't be cheap.

Liverpool, however, have been presented with a deal. Nuñez, Chiesa and €20m to Napoli, Osimhen to Anfield.

It's a crazy deal and the kind of swap you rarely see these days. Though, we imagine it would only technically be a swap - all deals almost certainly happen on their own for a big matching amount.

Now, we're not sure Liverpool will go for it because of the Isak dream. Their worst-case would be spending all of those assets on Osimhen only to learn they could have had the Newcastle United star.

But they also can't ignore it. Here's a chance to grab themselves a world-class striker without competition.

Osimhen is someone they've loved for a long time, too. Anfield Watch exclusively revealed back in January that they had their eyes on the striker but interest goes back far beyond that.

We don't believe anyone would be unhappy if this deal goes through. There's is that Isak wrinkle, of course, but in isolation, moving on players Arne Slot doesn't fancy for an elite striker is a wonderful move.

And getting it all done in this mad way might just be the smoothest way for everyone to get what they want.
