Liverpool CIRCLING for £80m Serie A star
Liverpool are reportedly 'circling' over a young superstar. He's extremely highly rated.
Even though a lot of money was spent by the Reds in the summer, it's clear that the Arne Slot project is going to need continued support in order to succeed. Of course, we'll have to sick back and make sure Slot is capable of getting the team back on track, but he's likely to get more financial backing.
If FSG are willing to splash out on more transfers, either in January or in the summer, then we'll likely see a centre-back, a midfielder and a frenetic winger on the shopping list. One player that Liverpool have been targeting for quite some time is now likely to move and the Reds might be eyeing up a bid.
Yildiz is potentially on the move
According to a report from TeamTalk, 20-year-old Kenan Yildiz at Juventus is highly regarded by a number of teams and his future could be outside of Serie A if his suitors can convince him to leave.
Chelsea are the most persistent club involved, deploying scouts at fixtures and holding 'discreet discussions with the players' camp', however, they are joined by Real Madrid, Arsenal, Manchester United and Liverpool, who are 'circling' and 'considering substantial offers for the summer of 2026.'
His current deal with Juventus is set to run out in 2029, which ordinarily would eliminate any doubts over his future, but the Turkish international is only earning £90,000 a week, which is a vulnerability.
Last season, he delivered nine goals and six assists in 3268 minutes, although this season - including the Club World Cup - he's already on six goals and five assists through 1234 minutes.
He's going from strength to strength and his valuation reflects that. It's noted in the report that Chelsea had a £61.6m bid rejected in the summer, and so a £79.2m would be the minimum required for Juventus to even consider letting him go. These are exceptionally steep amounts for the winger.
Liverpool would be a great environment for him to come into, once Slot has the team back on track.
The quality of players in the Reds' squad is absurd and Liverpool are known for their successful ways of developing young players, not least through giving them ample first-team opportunities.
Yildiz would be nurtured and given the best preparation to succeed, although it all depends if he's developed enough to be able to succeed in the Premier League, give the recent shift in play styles.
