Luis Diaz to tell Liverpool he wants to leave today
Luis Diaz will reportedly ask out of Liverpool today as the team returns to training. The Colombian is at the centre of a transfer battle.
Sport reports that Luis Diaz will start talks with Liverpool over an exit today. The Colombian wishes to leave the club, with Barcelona and Bayern Munich keen to sign him.

It’s one that will almost certainly develop into a complicated situation. Liverpool want around €80m to sell Diaz but Barcelona aren’t willing to pay that price, says Sport.
In fact, it’s apparently far above what the Catalonians are willing to spend. Despite that, Diaz sees his ‘cycle’ as over at Anfield and wishes to depart.
Liverpool’s return to pre-season training on Tuesday will see Diaz begin his attempts to move from the club, says the report. Time will tell if it’s successful.

Interest in Luis Diaz
There are all sorts of reports around Diaz right now. His transfer saga promises to be one of the most-reported of the transfer window, in fact.
Reports this week suggest Diaz does already have an agreement with Liverpool to leave, however. All a team needs to do is offer the asking price of around €80m.
Barcelona aren't willing to do that, and it seems Bayern are hesitant to do so, too. We imagine Diaz's push, then, is about lowering that asking price in order to guarantee a deal.
Liverpool, though, aren't a club that sells cheap. They've shown a desire to hold into players for longer, if need be, and potentially lose them at the end of their contracts.
So we're not sure Diaz will be particularly successful with this attempt. It's just the wrong club to try this with.

Still, he's going to try. Whether Liverpool's inevitable rejection is met with acceptance or a more aggressive attempt remains to be seen.
Rest in peace, Diogo Jota.
