Liverpool could soon strike a deal on the back of a €70m offer. Talks are now set.

Liverpool have been spectacularly busy in this transfer window. They've broken their transfer record, of course, by signing Florian Wirtz from Bayer Leverkusen.

Then there are the two most expensive full-backs in club history as Jeremie Frimpong and Milos Kerkez arrived. Now they're on the brink of signing Hugo Ekitike from Eintracht Frankfurt.

Those are just the incomings, too. Trent Alexander-Arnold was sold to Real Madrid with just one month to run on his contract, while Caoimhin Kelleher has joined Brentford after pushing for a move for a couple of years now.

Jarell Quansah was something of a surprise exit. He's off to Leverkusen, with Liverpool striking a deal that offers a buy-back clause.

A lot of major transfers, then, that sees cash flowing in both directions. And the Reds certainly aren't finished there.

Liverpool to enter Luis Diaz talks

ESPN reports that Bayern Munich are on the brink of making another offer for Luis Diaz. The German giants have already seen one rejected.

That initial offer, says the report, stood at around €67.5m. Liverpool quickly said no and now Bayern will try again at €70m before add-ons.

It's long been reported that Liverpool would accept around €80m for Diaz and this new offer will get awfully close to that. The Colombian is pushing for the move, too, which might just make a difference here, especially if he's willing to waive a loyalty bonus by making a transfer request.

This offer should arrive 'in the coming days' as Bayern look to get their priority signing sorted. Talks will happen and it sounds as though they could be successful.

At this point, we really do expect Diaz to leave Liverpool. He's pushing for the move and links to the likes of Rodrygo Goes suggest the Reds are gearing up for a sale.

But it won't come cheap. Bayern look a little desperate, mind, and could well end up paying the sort of money Liverpool want.

Let's see what comes of these talks.

Rest in peace, Diogo Jota.
