If he leaves Real Madrid, that is.

"Rodrygo won’t join Al Nassr, never a topic or even a negotiation despite reports," Romano wrote on Twitter. "Full focus on Europe."

Now, there are a lot of moving parts here. For one, there's no guarantee that Rodrygo will leave Real Marid this summer even if they want him to.

The Brazilian has long been adamant about making it there, fighting for a place in the side against some of the world's best. But this could finally be the time that he decides to move on.

And Liverpool are waiting.

Liverpool and Rodrygo

Sacha Tavolieri reports that Liverpool are considering a move for Rodrygo if Luis Diaz leaves the club. This would not be a shock whatsoever.

Liverpool have had the Brazilian in their sites for many, many years. They actually wanted to grab him before Real Madrid, only for Santos to decide they should hold off one more year before selling.

That ultimately landed them a lot more money after Madrid got involved. Liverpool, though, had the deal all but finalised.

And so while the Reds missed out then, they have a chance here to finally get their man. Rodrygo wants a move to Europe rather than Saudi Arabia, giving Liverpool an advantage as one of the biggest European clubs.

Not to mention one of the few who could have an open spot on the wing if Diaz does join someone else. It really feels as though Liverpool may be best-placed for Rodrygo and without the financial competition of a Saudi side to complicate matters.

This is really one to watch, then.

Rest in peace, DIogo Jota.
