ELECTRIC winger is Liverpool's ideal belated Luis Diaz replacement
A winger is likely to be on Liverpool's shopping list in their next transfer spending plans.
Luis Diaz wasn't replaced in the summer and it's clear that someone who can offer bring a new dynamic to Arne Slot's squad is going to be approached for a permanent move in the summer.
Cody Gakpo is the Reds' main left-winger, and Rio Ngumoha is a perfectly adequate back-up, although Slot is noticeably holding back from playing him regularly. As such, it might be worthwhile for Liverpool to add someone else into the mix who is slightly more experienced at the senior level.
Names such as Antoine Semenyo have been reported in recent weeks, although there's an even younger star on the horizon with experience of playing in Europe, who would be more than ideal.
Yildiz continues to shine on the big stage
The 20-year-old Juventus winger has been performing to an extremely high level since the start of last season, and he's well on his way to delivering a standout campaign this year, featuring regularly in the starting XI under Luciano Spalletti.
But he's not just making his mark in club football, as the Turkish national side is also in awe of him.
On Saturday night against Bulgaria in a World Cup qualifier, Kenan Yildiz put on a masterclass without getting a goal or an assist to show for it. He was absolutely electric down the left-side.
Across 90 minutes, he created five chances, missed a big chance, had six successful dribbles, won two tackles, made four recoveries and won 11 ground duels. It was truly a relentless performance.
Arne Slot is an enormous fan of players' work-rate, just as his Liverpool predecessor Jurgen Klopp was, simply because of how expansive his side can be when everyone gets stuck in to their roles.
High-press is essential and winning your duels is crucial - Yildiz is more then comfortable in those departments. More importantly, however, the young winger likes to dribble with the ball, taking on his man, creating chances and utilising long-balls. He's got more gears to his game than Gakpo does.
Furthermore, the Turk is five years younger than Semenyo and even though he's never featured in the Premier League before, his performances in the Champions League and the Club World Cup have shown that he's capable of delivering against teams outside of Italy. He's a remarkable talent.
Juventus aren't in the greatest of form this season, and even though Yildiz is contracted until 2029, there is uncertainty about his future due to his low wage package. As such, it's not impossible that Liverpool could pry him away in the next year or two.
If a substantial amount of money is to go on a new attacker, there are few better options than Yildiz.
