One agent is excited as his star forward may be heading to an agreement with Liverpool. Anfield's next favourite?

We're now rapidly heading towards the winter transfer window and Liverpool will almost certainly have their eyes on players. What's happening this season, after all, isn't working.

The Reds spent over £450m on players, bringing in over £200m with sales. They completely overhauled a title-winning squad and while that was arguably necessary, things haven't clicked.

Moreover, the summer job isn't actually complete. Liverpool wanted to sign a new centre-back in Marc Guehi but a deal collapsed right at the last minute.

They'll still be after someone new in that position - but that won't be all. Mo Salah's efforts have come under scrutiny this season and it's become incredibly notable that Liverpool lack any sort of backup for the winger.

He's the only right-sided forward in the squad, in other words. Liverpool need to think about not just backup but a long-term option on that flank.

And maybe they've found someone.

Liverpool eye Anis Hadj Moussa

Africa Foot claims Liverpool are lined up a move for Anis Hadj Moussa. In fact, their interest is described as serious as the winger continues to impress this season.

The Feyenoord star joined the club in 2024, just after Arne Slot left the club. He then had an impressive debut campaign with eight goals and three assists across the Eredivisie.

This season, though, Moussa already has four goals and an assist. His numbers are consistently strong, too, in regards to ball carrying, touches in the box, and receiving progressive passes - three things Liverpool will be eager to find in any Salah successor.

The key thing here is that Liverpool's interest has Moussa's agent very excited with the idea of a potential agreement with the Reds.

Now, there's a long way to run here. Liverpool might be interested in getting a January move done, particularly if Salah isn't himself, but we imagine the summer is a better bet here.

Moussa is certainly one to watch, though. At just 23, he appears to have massive potential in the right environment and certainly wouldn't be another nine-figure transfer.
