Meeting set that could SEND Brazil star to Liverpool
Liverpool will be watching closely. It could ultimately land them a player they've wanted for a long, long time.
Liverpool have a lot to do in this transfer window, especially after reports that Luis Diaz is pushing for an exit. Claims on Thursday suggest he's put in a transfer request as he tries to force a transfer to Barcelona or Bayern Munich.
Darwin Nunez's future, too, adds another wrinkle as the Reds are chasing a striker in this transfer window. Their forward line could end up looking very different.
But the Diaz one is a game-changer as Liverpool weren't necessarily looking to replace him this summer. He's forcing their hand and making Richard Hughes and co. look into a market they only had half an eye on.
There's one player probably on the market that particularly catches our eye, though. And next week could ultimately send him to Liverpool.

Real Madrid to hold Rodrygo meeting
Fabrizio Romano confirms that Real Madrid will hold a meeting with Rodrygo next week to talk about his future. All signs lately point to the Brazilian leaving Madrid.
"Direct meeting for Rodrygo’s future will take place next week as Real Madrid are open to letting him leave," Romano wrote on Twitter.
"Real will leave the final decision to the Brazilian."
It's difficult to see Rodrygo coming away from that meeting with a belief that his future is brightest with Real Madrid. They appear entirely ready to move on from him - and that should work to Liverpool's advantage.
Rodrygo would not look to Saudi Arabia for his next move and would want to remain with a top European club. Liverpool are in line to be one of the few with the space and the money to buy him.
Sacha Tavolieri claims there's genuine interest from Liverpool if Diaz were to leave. That interest has been there for a long time, however - the Reds tried to snap Rodrygo up back when he was at Santos and before Real Madrid moved.

Next week, then, could signal that move finally happening. Liverpool certainly rate Rodrygo highly and this upcoming meeting may trigger a transfer.
Keep your eyes on this one.
Rest in peace, Diogo Jota.
