Liverpool talks advance towards exciting €35m agreement

Liverpool are getting closer to a deal for one of the biggest talents in Brazil. A €35m agreement is on the cards.

Plans for the summer transfer window are firmly underway at Liverpool. Really, the January transfer window was even about the summer - their only deal was for a player to arrive once the season is over.

Jeremy Jacquet agreed a deal to move from Rennes as Liverpool beat out Chelsea for his signature. He becomes the latest young player to sign for the Reds, making his big money move before he’s even turned 21.

This has been a theme of late. Milos Kerkez, Florian Wirtz, Giovanni Leoni and Hugo Ekitike were all 23 and under when signing for Liverpool last year.

Jacquet joins that list as one for the present and the future. And it seems he won’t be the last, either.

Liverpool's Allan deal

Reports in Brazil are consistently saying that Liverpool are chasing a transfer for Palmeiras star Allan. The 21-year-old has a growing reputation and the Reds hope to snap him up before further interest in him grows.

That's according to RTI Esporte. They claim that negotiations between Liverpool and Palmeiras are expected to advance over the next few weeks towards a deal in the summer.

The Brazilians don't want it to go through until after the World Cup, however. Allan isn't expected to be in the Brazil squad, but the domestic league runs in the opposite calendar to the Europeans.

Palmeiras, then, simply want to get as much out of Allan as they can. A €35m almost certainly goes through as some stage - to Liverpool or otherwise - but it seems that the 'when' is an important factor here.

It won't make too much difference for Liverpool to wait a bit, though. If that's what gets this deal done, we imagine they'll gran Palmeiras's wish.
