One of the most sought after wingers in the world right now is RB Leipzig’s Yan Diomande, and TALKsport have now revealed that the Reds are planning to get ahead of the competition when it comes to signing the 19-year-old.

According to the report, the hierarchy at Anfield feel that an early approach could be needed to secure the Ivorian winger, with interest from other sides increasing and the forward’s stock continuing to rise.

Liverpool are still believed to be leading the race in England, but PSG, Bayern Munich, Real Madrid and Barcelona are all also circling and there will be plenty of competition for Diomande, who is valued at around €100 million, come the summer.

Liverpool to repeat Naby Keita trick with Diomande

The Merseyside club are no strangers to getting transfer business done early, the aforementioned deal for Jacquet is proof of that.

The Reds have a history of getting deals done early too, and they have even done so with Diomande’s current employer RB Leipzig.

In 2017, Liverpool agreed the transfer of Naby Keita with RB Leipzig for the following summer window, and striking another early agreement with the German club could be the way forward with Diomande.

Securing Diomande’s signature will be no easy task, but the attacking sensation could be the next piece of Liverpool’s rebuild, and join Jacquet as a summer 2026 arrival.
