Liverpool line up mega January transfer
Liverpool may be set for one more big money transfer in the January transfer window.
Even though the summer transfer period is over, the next window is not that far away.

We are just a few months away until the window opens up again in January. Already, Richard Hughes will be exploring the club's options in the market.
He had an almost perfect window during the summer but ultimately he was left with a sour taste in his mouth as Marc Guehi's potential move to Anfield fell through.
That deal collapsing is not the end of the world but it does mean Liverpool may be active in the winter window and could revisit a move for Guehi.
He's not the only player Liverpool could be in the market for. There's reportedly another player on the club's radar as well.
Liverpool prepare mega Carlos Baleba transfer
If there is one area where Liverpool haven't yet found their perfect option, it's probably the holding midfield role where they could upgrade their options.
Ryan Gravenberch is world-class but Liverpool have always wanted to add another player alongside him. They failed with moves for Moises Caicedo and Martin Zubimendi, but they may succeed with their latest pursuit.
According to the increasingly more reliable Indy Kalia, Liverpool are making serious moves to sign Carlos Baleba in January.
Baleba is also a target for Manchester United and was wanted by them during the summer but he ended up staying at Brighton, which is probably the best decision for his career.
United are in utter chaos at the moment and that is not a place for any young player to go.
Liverpool on the other hand could be the perfect option for Baleba. He could slot alongside Gravenberch since he is left-footed and therefore very suited to playing on the left-side of the midfield.
The Cameroonian international is pretty much a carbon copy of Gravenberch, except he plays on the opposite side.
This is probably what Liverpool need right now. A ball carrier, who covers a lot of ground and who would make it a nightmare for the opposition's midfield.
A double pivot of Gravenberch and Baleba would swallow up so much ground and make it impossible for a rival team to gather their rhythm.
There are a lot of people who want Adam Wharton at Liverpool but he falls short in his defensive ability and he's not as quick nor does he have the same stamina as Baleba.
For his progressive passes, Liverpool already have Florian Wirtz, who can be the creative outlet in the middle of the park.
So this is a move that could very well happen in January, especially if Man Utd make advances towards Baleba again, Liverpool will likely then swoop in to hijack that move.
If it does happen, it will be a mega deal. Brighton won't let Baleba go on the cheap.
