Liverpool learn price for 'cornerstone' Ibrahima Konate replacement

Arne Slot’s side are still exploring the market then, and they have just learned what it would take to sign a defender the Dutchman wanted when he first arrived at the club.

The Brazilian had impressed at Juventus, but decided to extend his contract in Turin over moving to the Premier League.
Now, thanks to a report from Calcio Mercato in Italy, Liverpool have learned what it would take to get the 27-year-old's signature this summer.
According to the report Bremer, who is described as a ‘cornerstone’ of the current Juve team, does not have a release clause in his contract but a bid of around €70 million (~£61m) could be enough to secure his services.
The report names Liverpool, Chelsea and Bayern Munich as teams that could potentially bid, but also states that Juventus are reluctant to sell.
Bremer missed a significant period before December due to a meniscus injury, but has regained his place in Luciano Spalletti’s side since his return.
Most often deployed as a right-sided centre-half and boasting plenty of top-flight experience, Bremer could prove to be the ideal replacement for Konate should the Frenchman leave this summer.
