Not that they're all youngsters. Kostas Tsimikas is out at AS Roma for the season, while Harvey Elliott is certainly a senior player and with Aston Villa. Though, Elliott's loan will become permanent next season.

There are a pair of players at Ajax under former Liverpool coach Johnny Heitinga. Viteslav Jaros and James McConnell are hoping to shine over there.

Owen Beck is at Derby County, with Lewis Koumas joining him in the Championship with Birmingham City. And then there's Luca Stephenson, back at Dundee United after a brilliant spell last season.

Luca Stephenson at Dundee United

Stephenson enjoyed a really productive campaign last season as he helped Dundee United finish 4th in the SPL. But he might do even better this time around.

United drew 3-3 with Hibernian at the weekend and Stephenson certainly caught the eye. He was the star of the show with two goals in the tie.

That goes with the assist Stephenson grabbed in his first game this season, putting him on three goal contributions in his opening two games. Things are going well, in other words, and he's earned special praise from his manager.

"I thought there were so many good individual performances, and of course, Luca deserves a huge amount of credit for the couple of goals that he had," said Jim Goodwin after the match.

"And he was really unlucky at the end of the game there. At 3-3, he breaks his way into the box – where he finds the energy from, I don’t know – and [Jordan] Smith makes a decent save with his foot at the near post."

It is only two fixtures, of course, but this is a fantastic start for Stephenson. Keep this up and his reputation is going to skyrocket - and then who knows what could happen?

It's not entirely out of the question that Liverpool end up giving him a chance if he does thrive. After all, there are three first-team players at the club who came up through the Scottish Premier League.

Virgil van Dijk and Jeremie Frimpong are both ex-Celtic, while Andy Robertson was a superstar for Dundee United. Perhaps Stephenson can follow in their footsteps.
