Liverpool are reportedly prepared to spend £10 million on a midfielder in January

Liverpool are interested in signing Pogon Szczecin midfielder Kacper Kozłowski, according to Super Express, as cited by LFC Transfer Room's Twitter account.

The report states that the Reds would like to buy the 18-year-old in January.

The report further adds that Liverpool are prepared to offer £10 million for Kozłowski and are willing to let him return to Pogon Szczecin on loan until the end of the current season.

ANFIELD WATCH VERDICT

Kozłowski is a bright young talent. The midfielder has scored four goals and registered seven assists in 43 appearances for Pogon Szczecin. Kozłowski has also represented Poland's senior side. Liverpool do possess an ageing midfield.

Jordan Henderson, Thiago Alcantara and James Milner are all 30-plus. Therefore, we would not be against the Reds making a move for Kozłowski in the near future.

But, only time will tell if Liverpool are genuinely interested in the talented youngster. The January transfer window opens in less than two weeks' time.
