Liverpool are reportedly prepared to compete for the signature of €55m rated midfielder

Liverpool are set to compete for the signature of Leicester City midfielder Youri Tielemans next summer, according to Fichajes, as cited by Anfield Edition's Twitter account.

A number of clubs will reportedly be attempting to sign the 24-year-old at the end of the season.

Tielemans only has 18 months left on his contract. Transfermarkt value the Belgium international at €55 million.

Tielemans is a player that we would love to see Liverpool sign. The midfielder is a very good footballer after all.

Tielemans has scored 23 goals and registered 22 assists in 133 appearances for Leicester City's first-team.

In fact, the 24-year-old is capable of clutch moments. Tielemans scored a screamer during the 2021 FA Cup final against Chelsea. The Foxes won the match 1-0 as a result.

The Belgium international has also been averaging a WhoScored player rating of 7.07 in the Premier League this season.

With that being the case, hopefully the Reds do make a move for Tielemans in the near future.
