Already this has been a sensational transfer period for Liverpool. The Reds have clearly made themselves a stronger team by bringing in Jeremie Frimpong, Florian Wirtz and Milos Kerkez.

But there is more to come yet at Anfield. Liverpool still need to bring in a no.9 and a centre-back and Hughes is absolutely working on getting those deals done.

Although first there are departures to handle as well. There are quite a few players who face uncertain futures. Darwin Nunez, Jarell Quansah and Harvey Elliott could all be heading to pastures new.

Meanwhile, the likes of Luis Diaz and Ibrahima Konate are in contract stand-offs that could force Liverpool into action.

The former is someone Liverpool would absolutely look to replace if he decided to move away from the club. And while the club's latest signing will likely not be a direct replacement but he could follow in suit of Diaz's footsteps at Anfield in the future.

According to Football Insider Liverpool have 'agreed' a deal to sign Blackpool's left-wing sensation Gabriel Schluter, with the youngster set to complete a medical next week in order to become a Liverpool player.

An exciting talent, Schluter has made one first team appearance at Blackpool to date but he's only just recently turned 16-years-old.

Schluter was the youngest player in Blackpool's history when he made his debut in the EFL Trophy at just 15-years-old and nine months.

He's very highly regarded and it looks like Liverpool might have got themselves a real gem to add to an already talented left-wing department at the club.

Obviously, there's Luis Diaz and Cody Gakpo but there's also Trent Kone-Doherty and Rio Ngumoha, who are both really highly rated by Arne Slot and who have been regularly training with the first team.

Schluter likely won't get a first team chance any time soon, although you never know given the Reds have always been very keen to promote young talent.

However, the most likely situation given his age is that he will join the club's U18 side or the U21 team, where he could be working alongside Rob Page.

Nonetheless, this seems like a huge coup. Signing a historic club's youngest ever player, who they rated very highly is always nice to see.

Schluter is clearly a massive talent and it will be exciting to follow his development at Liverpool in the coming years.
