Liverpool loanee Harry Wilson scored a brace for Derby County on Saturday, making it 14 for the season for the Rams.
The winger has been in superb form for Frank Lampard’s side this season, although his two goals at the weekend weren’t enough to win the game as Derby were held to a 3-3 draw with Brentford.
However, Wilson’s contribution will not have gone unnoticed as the Welshman continues to develop this season.
“It has been a while,” he said after the game.
“Since the turn of the year I’ve only got one, so I’ve been desperate to try to get on the scoresheet and assist a few more as well.
“But as long as the team is winning, like last week, if I’m not scoring or assisting but I’m on the winning team, I’m happy.”
