Liverpool goalkeeper Loris Karius “will almost certainly need to find a new club” this summer, according to Neil Jones from Goal.

Jones has suggested that Liverpool will be looking to sell Karius this summer. With that being the case, Bundesliga club Hertha Berlin are interested in the goalkeeper, according to Jones.

Jones states that Hertha Berlin are not the only club that have enquired about Karius, which does suggest that the goalkeeper will not be short of options when it comes to picking a new club.

Hertha Berlin would actually be a very good move for Karius. He has played in the Bundesliga before for Mainz, which means that he knows the league well.

Hertha Berlin currently sit 10th in the Bundesliga, which means Karius would be going to a club that is reasonably competitive.

Jones has stated that Liverpool have a good relationship with Hertha Berlin. That can be backed up by the fact that the Reds have worked closely with the Bundesliga club in regards to Liverpool midfielder Marko Grujic.

The Serbian is currently on loan at Hertha Berlin. As Liverpool have negotiated with Hertha Berlin before, it could be quite simple to send Karius to the club.

Of course, this depends on whether Hertha Berlin actually want Karius. There’s also the issue that Karius might want to play elsewhere.

One can’t forget the financial impact of the pandemic either, which Jones does suggest could affect this particular transfer.
