Liverpool defeated Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena last night to progress to the quarter-finals of the Champions League once again.

A Virgil van Dijk headed effort was sandwiched between two Sadio Mane goals to give Liverpool a 3-1 victory on the night, with a Joel Matip own-goal Bayern’s only consolation.

Jurgen Klopp’s side will discover who they will face when the draw for the next round is made on Friday.

Reds fans will hope for a favourable draw, with most likely wanting to avoid coming up against another English club at this stage.

However, with three other Premier League clubs still in the competition, it’s a definite possibility that Liverpool could end up facing a domestic opponent.

Here are the sides the Reds could potentially be drawn against tomorrow:

Manchester City

Manchester United

Liverpool will hope to avoid being pitted against the likes of Juventus and Barcelona, while Manchester City could prove the toughest English side to beat.

A draw against Porto or Ajax would be the most favourable, though any team at this stage of the competition will be difficult to defeat.
