Reds forward Mohamed Salah has opened up on the first meeting that he had with Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp.

Salah is naturally a right winger. However, before he signed with Liverpool from Roma in 2017, Sadio Mane was playing out wide on the right.

If Salah was going to play on the right wing for Liverpool, Mane would have to change his position. When Salah first meet Klopp, he asked where Mane would play.

As quoted by Neil Jones, Salah told beIN SPORTS: “He talked with me a lot and his future plan which made me very excited. My first question for him was “What about Sadio?” as we are playing in the same position, and he said that Mane will play at the left.”

Watching both Salah and Mane play is a joy. This season, they have scored 40 goals between them in all competitions.

They have both also registered 22 assists between them, which highlights that they have the ability to create a goal for a teammate.

The aforementioned numbers show that they are both comfortable playing in their current positions.

The aforementioned numbers also highlight that Liverpool possess two very good forwards. Having two players that can score the amount of goals that they do is something that the Anfield faithful should not take for granted.

Many supporters don’t get to watch players as good as Salah and Mane.
