Marcelo Pitaluga signing complete
Liverpool confirmed the permanent signing of Fluminense goalkeeper Marcelo Pitaluga this week.
The 17-year-old was part of the Brazil squad that won the U17 World Cup last November and made the bench for two Fluminense games in the Serie A last season.
The Brazilian will join up with the Liverpool first team at Melwood, alongside playing for the club’s Academy teams.

Anderson Arroyo joins Salamanca CF on loan
Liverpool defender Anderson Arroyo joined Spanish side Salamanca CF on a season-long loan this week.
The 21-year-old has had loan spells at Real Mallorca, KAA Gent and FK Mlada Boleslav since joining Liverpool in January 2018.
Hopefully, the Columbia U20 international will now gain more valuable first-team football in the Segunda B.
Jack Butland speculation
With Allison Becker’s injury, many Liverpool fans believe that The Reds should be in the market for a new second-choice goalkeeper, however, with the European transfer window now closed Liverpool have little options available to them.
One name that has been rumoured is out-of-favour Stoke City goalkeeper Jack Butland. Although the 28-year-old was dropped last season after a poor run of form, the former England international was once a highly regarded goalkeeper in the Premier League.
According to The Sentinal, Stoke would be willing to let the goalkeeper go by the end of the week.
