Liverpool defender Trent Alexander-Arnold has won the PFA Young Player of the Year award.

The 21-year-old featured in 38 of Liverpool’s Premier League games. The right-back won the Premier League title and registered 13 assists throughout the campaign.

Jurgen Klopp receives Manager of the Season

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has won the Premier League Manager of the Season award.

The boss guided Liverpool to their first Premier League title in 30 years, racking up a club record of 99 points.

Klopp bettered competition from Brendan Rodgers of Leicester City, Chris Wilder of Sheffield United and Frank Lampard of Chelsea to win the award.

Five Liverpool players named in the PFA Team of the Year

Five Liverpool players have been named in the PFA Premier League Team of the Year for the 2019-20 season.

Jordan Henderson, Sadio Mane, Andy Robertson, Trent Alexander Arnold and Virgil Van Dijk have all claimed a place in the team, which was voted by their fellow players.

This will come as no surprise to Liverpool fans, who will see their favourites alongside Nick Pope, Caglar Soyunco, David Silva, Kevin De Bruyne, Jamie Vardy and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

Xherdan Shaqiri returns to training

With Liverpool’s first game of the season approaching against Leeds United, Xherdan Shaqiri has returned to training this week.

The Swiss midfielder has been absent due to an injury sustained during a pre-season training camp in Austria.
