Official kit release
Liverpool’s first kit with Nike for the 2020-21 season has been officially released this week.
The new home kit is an old school design featuring not only red and white, but also teal colours that relate to the club’s crest.
Peter Moore steps down as CEO
Peter Moore has announced this week that he will step down as Chief Executive Officer at the end of August.
This comes at the end of an extremely successful three-year contract overseeing Liverpool’s off-pitch business operations.
Current managing Director and Chief Commercial Officer Billy Hogan will take over the role.
Curtis Jones wins PL2 Player of the Season
Liverpool midfielder Curtis Jones was named the Premier League 2 Player of the Year this week.
It’s been an impressive year for the midfielder, scoring nine goals in the PL2 campaign.
Alongside this, Jones also made 12 appearances for the first team across the season.
He scored the winner at Anfield against Everton in the FA cup and bagged his first Premier League goal against Aston Villa last month.
Tom Hill signs new contract
Tom Hill, 17, has signed a new contract to extend his stay at Liverpool this week.
Hill made his debut for the under-18s at the start of the season and later broke into the under-23s. He was also part of Liverpool’s youngest ever side as he made his senior debut against Aston Villa in the Carabao Cup.
Conor Bradley and Jakub Ojrzynski sign first professional deals
This season has seen the 17-year olds mostly play for the under-18s. However, Bradley was also able to break into the under-23 side in the latter stages of the campaign.
