Allison shoulder injury
A shoulder injury to Liverpool’s number one goalkeeper Allison Becker was announced this week when he was not named as part of the squad for The Reds loss to Aston Villa.
Allison sustained the injury in training after clashing with another player and is said to be out of action for four to six weeks.
Hopefully, the Brazilian will be back between the sticks for Liverpool as soon as possible.
U21 debuts for Curtis Jones and Rhys Williams
Liverpool youngsters Curtis Jones and Rhys Williams both made their England U21 debuts on Wednesday in a 3-3 draw against Andorra.
This comes as no surprise after the two impressed during Liverpool’s Carabao Cup ties with Lincoln and Arsenal.
Jones played 75 minutes of the game and Williams stayed on for the entire match.
Robertson captains Scotland to play-off win
Liverpool left-back Andy Robertson captained his nation to a penalty shootout victory over Israel in a Euro 2020 semi-final play-off this week.
The game remained 0-0 throughout the 120 minutes and Scotland won 5-3 on penalties.
Robertson and the rest of the Scotland team will go on to face Serbia in a play-off final on November 12th with the winner qualifying for next summer’s Euros.
Liam Miller Player of the Month nomination
Liverpool u23 forward has been nominated for the Premier League 2 player of the month award this week.
This comes as no surprise after the Canada international played a huge part in wins over Everton and Manchester United.
The 21-year-old has been shortlisted alongside Scott Banks (Crystal Palace), Josh Bowler (Everton), Sam Greenwood (Leeds United), Mitchell Clark (Leicester City), James McAtee (Manchester City) and Brooklyn Lyons-Foster (Tottenham Hotspur).
