Liverpool received a guard of honour from Manchester City last night.

It was a historic moment for the Reds, as it was the first time in 30 years that they were given such treatment.

It is not the most exciting guard of honour, as it was not at Anfield with the supporters in attendance. But, it was the moment that confirmed Liverpool are currently the champions of England.

The Manchester City players did not look too happy giving the Reds a guard of honour. You can’t really blame them, as they are used to being on the other side. They have won four Premier League titles in the last 10 years.

The Citizens were exceptional on the night, as they defeated Liverpool 4-0 at the Etihad Stadium. Perhaps having to give the guard of honour to Liverpool gave them motivation for the match.
