Liverpool loanee Harry Wilson continued his fine form for Cardiff this season by scoring a hat-trick against Birmingham at the weekend.

Wilson, who has been on loan to Cardiff since the start of the campaign, scored three of Cardiff’s four goals in a 4-0 win over Birmingham in the Championship. The midfielder achieved a perfect 10.00 WhoScored rating for his performance, scoring three goals from five shots and creating three chances for his teammates.

He scored his first by latching on to a loose pass on the edge of the box before spinning and brilliantly lofting the ball over the out-of-position goalkeeper and into the top corner. Wilson then doubled his tally with a clever, low, free-kick from the edge of the box, catching the goalkeeper out and nestling in the corner of the net.

The second half yielded another wonderful goal from Wilson. Cardiff won a right kick just to the right of centre on the edge of the box and Wilson whipped in a delightful shot into the far left top corner to beat the Birmingham goalkeeper for the third time and complete his hat-trick.

Wilson is now up to seven goals and 11 assists in the Championship for Cardiff this season. He has been in terrific form and potentially put himself in the shop window ahead of the summer transfer window if he is not going to be in Liverpool’s first-team plans.

Cardiff’s official Twitter account shared the highlights of Reds loanee Wilson’s performance, showing off all three of his exceptional strikes.
