Former Manchester United defender Patrice Evra told Sky Sports that he is “glad” that the Liverpool players could not celebrate with the fans.

The coronavirus has meant that Liverpool have played in front of an empty crowd recently.

With that being the case, Reds skipper Jordan Henderson had to lift the Premier League title in front of an empty Anfield last night.

Evra found it quite amusing. Sure, he is an ex-Manchester United player. There is a genuine rivalry between the Reds and the Red Devils.

But, Evra’s comments were a little bit unnecessary. There are no positives about what the coronavirus has done to the world.

We wish the world would go back to normal so the Liverpool supporters could celebrate with the players.

But, for the time being, we will have to enjoy Liverpool’s recent success from home.
