Liverpool faced FC Midtjylland at Anfield in the Champions League last night. Liverpool won the group stage clash 2-0.
As you can see below, Liverpool’s first goal of the night was scored by Diogo Jota. Trent Alexander-Arnold’s pass set up Jota for a tap-in.
Xherdan Shaqiri also played a spectacular pass, which found Alexander-Arnold inside the penalty area, prior to Jota scoring.
It wasn’t a spectacular strike from Jota, but the goal was quite significant. It was the club’s 10,000th goal. When Jota scored, we had no idea that was the case.
Liverpool Football Club formed 128 years ago. With the club possessing forwards such as Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino, Sadio Mane and Jota, we expect to see Liverpool score a lot more goals over the next few years.
