Grujic commented on an Instagram post about Ollie Watkins, saying that he had just taken him out of his Fantasy Premier League team and went on to claim that Watkins ended Adrian’s career with Liverpool. Adrian conceded a hat-trick to Ollie Watkins last weekend as Liverpool lost 7-2 to Aston Villa in the Premier League on Sunday.
This comes just after Grujic sealed a season-long loan move away from Liverpool to FC Porto in Portugual, having played just twice in the first-team this season for the Reds.
These Liverpool fans reacted to his comments…

Grujic wants to be sold so badly. 😂

Agree or disagree it’s probably better that teammates aren’t taking sky digs at one another on social media, if they’ve problems with one another confront each other in the dressing room rather than social media

Very unprofessional. Probably ended his own LFC career.

ANFIELD WATCH VERDICT
This seems to be a rather unprofessional move by Grujic and, perhaps, not something that you would expect from a Liverpool player. You should respect your teammates, just like work colleagues away from football, and Grujic has disrespected Adrian in a public setting – on Instagram for everyone to see.
Even if Grujic believes that Watkins ended Adrian’s Liverpool career, it is not helpful to put it out in the public. A Liverpool footballer, albeit out on loan, publicly criticising could lead to more fans jumping on the bandwagon and sending abuse Adrian’s way because they have seen Grujic do it. It is not setting a good example for younger fans on how to behave online and could glorify attacking players on social media – even if that was not Grujic’s intention.
Jurgen Klopp may need to have a word with Grujic about what he decides to post on his socials. Grujic needs to know what and what not to post in order to stay professional and not cause any sort of unrest in the dressing room at Liverpool.
