Brighton and Burnley have reportedly opened talks to sign Liverpool midfielder Adam Lallana on a free transfer, according to Football Insider.

Both clubs are apparently keen to offer Lallana a long-term deal. However, the report adds that Leicester City have been the frontrunners to sign Lallana.

Although, the report states that Lallana might not be sold on a move to the King Power Stadium.

Reds boss Jurgen Klopp has confirmed that Lallana will be leaving the club come the end of the 2019-20 Premier League season.

That is when Lallana’s contract expires, which is why the Englishman is available on a free transfer.

If Leicester City is an option for Lallana, we would advice the midfielder to sign for the Foxes.

There is a fair possibility that Leicester City will be in the Champions League as of next season. They currently sit fourth in the Premier League table.

Lallana would also get to work with Brendan Rodgers again. The Northern Irishman signed Lallana when he was in charge of the Reds.

If Lallana signed for either Brighton and Burnley, he would not be playing in the Champions League, as they are nowhere near the top four.
