Liverpool face Tottenham Hotspur in North London on Thursday night.

Spurs are coming off a solid 4-1 victory over Wycombe Wanderers in the FA Cup.

However, Spurs full-back Ben Davies might not be available for the Premier League clash against Liverpool as a result of potentially picking up an injury against Wycombe Wanderers.

Davies was substituted during stoppage-time of the aforementioned clash.

Spurs manager Jose Mourinho made some comments post-match regarding Davies. Mourinho is hoping that Davies has not picked up a calf injury. Nothing has been confirmed.

“I didn’t see huge fatigue. Ben Davies was just a bad feeling, I hope it is not anything on his calf, so hopefully we managed to play and not have big injuries or fatigue and not to have extra time,” Mourinho said, as quoted by HITC.

ANFIELD WATCH VERDICT

Davies has been a regular for Spurs this season. The full-back has made 26 appearances for the club this season.

Therefore, Davies would be a loss for Spurs if he is unavailable to face the Reds.

But, even if Davies is unavailable to play against Liverpool, the Reds will still need to play well to beat them.

The reality is, Liverpool only beat Spurs 2-1 at Anfield earlier this season.

Liverpool defeated Spurs 1-0 at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the Premier League last season. Roberto Firmino’s strike in the first half proved to be the difference.
