Bayern Munich forward Thomas Muller wants to leave the club in January and signing him would offer Jurgen Klopp an interesting alternative to Roberto Firmino.
Bild journalist Christian Falk claims via his personal Twitter account that Muller wants out and will seek permission to do so from Bayern Munich’s hierarchy in the winter transfer window.
The German international’s contract expires in the summer of 2021 but given his recent lack of form, the Bavarians might be open to letting him leave for a non-Bundesliga side at a cut-price.

Liverpool have arguably the best false nine in the world up front in Roberto Firmino and if there is another player that can offer similar link up play it’s Muller.
They’re entirely different types of forwards but what they both excel at doing is creating space for fellow attackers with selfless runs into channels or pulling into deeper areas to open up room for Salah, Mane, Coman and Gnabry to run into.
It would be an odd move no doubt and has little long term value but if Jurgen Klopp did decide to raid the Bundesliga market in January, Muller wouldn’t be an awful shout.
