Liverpool faced Chelsea at Stamford Bridge in the Premier League yesterday.

The Reds secured a 2-0 victory thanks to a brace from forward Sadio Mane.

Thiago Alcantara, who officially signed with Liverpool two days prior to the match, made his debut for the club in the second half.

After the match, Thiago posted a message on Instagram stating that he was pleased with the effort of the team.

Thiago did look very good against Chelsea in the 45 minutes that he played.

Thiago finished the match with an overall player rating of 6.34. The statistic that blew our minds away in regards to Thiago was how many passes he completed against the Blues.

Thiago completed 75 passes in 45 minutes. No Chelsea player completed more passes in 90 minutes.

The aforementioned statistic highlights that Thiago was looking to make things happen for the Reds on his debut.

We believe that Thiago will only get better for Liverpool. He has only been at the club a few days, which means that it would be fair to assume that he has not settled yet.

Thiago has moved to a new country and he has new teammates.
