Derby County winger Kaide Gordon has potentially signed with Liverpool, according to Sky Sports (26/01/2020 9:22 AM).

Sky Sports have claimed that Gordon was expected to sign for the Premier League champions yesterday.

Sky Sports added that the cost of the deal could rise to £3 million.

Until the club announce that Gordon has signed, nothing is official. However, it is common knowledge that Sky Sports are a very reliable source.

Gordon is only 16 years of age. With that being the case, no Liverpool supporter should be expecting Gordon to have an impact on the first XI for quite some time.

Gordon needs to develop and learn about the game in Liverpool’s academy.

In the under-18 Premier League this season, Gordon has scored three goals in five appearances.

The aforementioned figures highlight that Gordon knows where the back of the net is.

The likes of Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah won’t be around forever, so it is important that Liverpool have an eye to the future.

That is why we like the idea of the club signing players like Gordon.
