As it is the international break, some Liverpool players are away from the club.

Those Liverpool players who were not selected for international duty are still training at the AXA Centre in Kirkby.

Reds boss Jurgen Klopp organised an intra-club friendly last weekend. According to the Liverpool Echo, Centre-backs Ben Davies and Nat Phillips were both named on the same side (away team).

However, Davies and Phillips were on the team that conceded five goals last weekend. The Liverpool Echo did add that Davies and Phillips were up against a number of first-team players.

Davies and Phillips have not played together in a competitive match.

It is not ideal that both Davies and Phillips conceded five goals, but it’s not the end of the world.

Davies has never played in the Premier League and Phillips has only made the 10 appearances in England’s top division.

Therefore, we don’t expect to see Davies and Phillips lining up alongside each other for Liverpool’s first-team

Davies and Phillips are too inexperienced to play alongside each other in a competitive match. The practice match backs up that particular argument.
