Liverpool are no longer interested in Borussia Dortmund forward Jadon Sancho, according to the Mirror.

Various reports had stated that Liverpool were interested in Sancho, which does suggest that the Anfield club were genuinely looking to sign the Englishman.

However, the latest report from the Mirror has stated that Liverpool are not monitoring the 20-year-old’s situation as it stands.

With that being the case, the likes of Manchester United and Chelsea have been given a boost in terms of signing Sancho, as they have also been linked heavily with the forward.

It does appear that Liverpool’s interest is entirely on RB Leipzig forward Timo Werner. The striker does look better value for money.

Werner’s release clause is £50 million. Sancho would cost around £100 million. The reality is, Liverpool need someone who scores goals, and Werner is that player.

The Reds already possess players similar to Sancho. It would make no sense to sign someone for such an excessive fee when the club already possess similar types of players.

If this report were to be true, I feel as if Liverpool have made the correct decision.
