Real Madrid have made their opening move to sign Mohamed Salah this summer, according to Joe.

The Liverpool forward finished the season with the Golden Boot once again, sharing it this time with teammate Sadio Mane and Pierre Emerick Aubameyang of Arsenal.

And it seems his prolific ability in front of goal has finally prompted Madrid to make their move.

Journalist Philippe Carayon claimed that: “There have been some initial approaches between Real Madrid & Mohamed Salah.”

Madrid are set for major changes this summer as they look to revamp their ageing squad after a disappointing season, with the likes of Gareth Bale likely to leave for the right price.

Los Blancos are keen to add Salah to their squad and would be prepared to pay a huge fee for the Egyptian’s signature.

However, Liverpool are in an extremely strong position now having reached the Champions League final and challenged impressively for the Premier League title, and are unlikely to ever entertain offers for their superstar player.

If Madrid do make a concrete offer, it’s expected that Liverpool will immediately turn it down and refuse to negotiate further.
