Liverpool forward Mo Salah has offered another update on his contract situation with him saying, as yet, he has not heard from the club over a new deal.

The Reds’ forward has just over two years left on his current contract and so he’s in a position where it’s not a desperate thing that needs sorting but is one that will be on the agenda soon enough you would have thought.

We’ve seen him agitating for a new deal in recent weeks and months this season in interviews and he was again asked about the latest on the situation by Sky Sports.

He said to them:

“No one is talking to me about anything, so I can’t say much about that.

“No one in the club is talking to me about anything so I do not know.”

Salah laughed as he delivered these comments so he’s probably not too panicked about the situation and certainly not as much as some would have you believe.

There’s probably a good chance it gets sorted out this summer and the speculation can be put to bed with the Egyptian again having a pretty decent campaign where so many have not.
