Liverpool could kick off their Premier League campaign in August against Burnley at Turf Moor, if a ‘leaked’ image of the fixture list turns out to be real (Echo).
A picture of the supposed opening day fixtures has been circulating on social media today ahead of the official reveal tomorrow at 9am.
Premier League players, managers and fans will wait with baited breath to see who their sides launch their 2019/20 seasons against on August 10, with everyone hoping for a favourable start.
According to the leaked image, Jurgen Klopp’s side will face Burnley away on the opening day in a 5:30pm kickoff to be televised on BT Sport.
Tottenham and newly-promoted Norwich City will apparently kick off the new Premier League season at 12:30pm, while Aston Villa will have to wait until Sunday for their first taste of top flight action since relegation in 2016.
Champions Manchester City face Wolves away in the first Monday Night Football of the season.
While this image may yet prove false, Burnley away would be a welcome opening fixture for the Reds.
