Liverpool have indicated that they are prepared to offload winger Xherdan Shaqiri this summer, according to the Liverpool Echo, as cited by HITC.

Shaqiri, who signed for Liverpool from Stoke City for a transfer fee of £13 million back in the summer of 2018, has rarely featured for Liverpool this season.

The Swiss international is a squad player at best, but injuries have impacted his 2019-20 season regardless. With Shaqiri not being able to prove his worth, it is being reported that Liverpool may let the winger go this summer.

The club are looking to sell the Swiss international for around £25 million, which would be a profit from the original price that they bought the winger for.

It does appear Shaqiri’s days at Liverpool are over. There have been plenty of suggestions that Shaqiri is preparing to leave, but it is interesting to hear a figure in regards to what the Reds want for him.

It would be superb business by the Reds, as they continue to find a way to make decent profits of players that are not necessarily required at Anfield anymore.
