Liverpool are interested in signing Vasco da Gama striker Talles Magno, according to Brazilian news outlet Bolavip.

The report states that Magno is wanted by a number of clubs. Benfica have apparently placed a bid of €1 million for the Brazilian. That offer is under consideration.

David Maddock from the Mirror has also reported that Liverpool have looked at Magno, which does suggest that there is some genuine interest from the Anfield club in the forward.

Let’s just say the report is true in regards to Liverpool’s interest in Magno.

If Benfica’s offer of €1 million is accepted, they will certainly save some money. Magno’s current market value is €4.5 million.

If Liverpool offer a slightly better deal than what Benfica have offered, they could still save some money and beat the Portuguese side to Magno’s signature.

Magno started playing for Vasco’s first team at the age of 17. The fact that Vasco were keen to promote a teenager to the senior team does suggest that he has talent.

Going by footage that we have seen of Magno, he looks a player that possesses strength, pace and end product. In other words, he looks like a talent that will be worth quite a bit in the future.
