Liverpool are reportedly looking to sign Dembele on loan. But, they would also like the option to be able to buy the forward once the loan spell is complete.

However, Di Marzio did add that Dembele has no intention of leaving Barcelona. Dembele’s Barcelona contract expires in two years.

ANFIELD WATCH VERDICT

To be honest, it would make sense if Liverpool did try to sign Dembele on loan this summer.

The forward is currently valued at €56 million. Liverpool are currently feeling the impact of the pandemic from a financial point of view.

With that being the case, the Reds are more than likely not going to have the money this summer to sign Dembele permanently. By signing Dembele on loan, there would be no big transfer fee.

That is why it would make sense if Liverpool did try to sign Dembele on loan this summer. However, no other report has emerged to confirm what Di Marzio is claiming about the aforementioned transfer.

It is also important to consider that Dembele apparently has no intention of leaving Barcelona this summer.
