Liverpool are interested in RC Lens centre-half Loic Bade, according to Le10Sport, as cited by SempreMilan.

However, apparently AC Milan are also interested in Bade, which means that Liverpool have competition for the signature of the 20-year-old.

AC Milan have reportedly scouted Bade several times recently, which highlights that the Serie A club are very interested in the centre-back.

It would make sense for Liverpool to sign a centre-back in January. Virgil van Dijk, Joe Gomez and Joel Matip are all injured.

Bade appears to be a decent young player. The 20-year-old has made 16 appearances in Ligue 1 this season.

Bade is averaging a WhoScored player rating of 7.02 in Ligue 1 this campaign. The aforementioned figure highlights that Bade is performing well.

Bade has a current market value of €6 million, which does suggest that he would not cost the Reds too much in terms of a transfer fee.

Even if Liverpool did not sign Bade in January, he is still a player that we would like to see the Reds pursue in the future.

Due to Bade’s age, he could potentially be a Liverpool centre-back for 10 or so years.
