Liverpool are interested in Lyon forward Memphis Depay, according to Spanish outlet Fichajes.
Depay, who was signed by Manchester United back in 2015 for a transfer fee of €34 million, has scored 15 goals and registered seven assists in 27 appearances for Lyon this season.
Liverpool will reportedly look to beat Barcelona to Depay’s signature this summer.

ANFIELD WATCH VERDICT
Depay has a current market value of €45 million. However, his current Lyon contract expires come the end of the season.
Therefore, Depay will be available as a free agent come the end of the season. At 27 years of age, Depay is in the prime of his career.
As we have already highlighted, Depay is having a superb season for Lyon. We believe that Depay would be a very good signing for the Reds.
He would add goals to the team and he would not cost a penny in terms of a transfer fee.
Depay never got going at Manchester United. The forward scored seven goals and registered six assists in 53 appearances.
However, we believe that Depay would have learned a lot from his time in England.
Therefore, we are confident that if Depay did return to the Premier League for a second stint, he would perform better this time.
