Liverpool are reportedly interested in PSV Eindhoven’s Donyell Malen but need to be wary of competition from Juventus and Roma.

The Reds might be firing on all cylinders at the moment with Jurgen Klopp’s side already eight points clear of Manchester City in the Premier League but there is still a fear that things will fall apart with an injury to Firmino, Mane or Salah.

Inside Football claim that Liverpool are tracking Dutch forward Donyell Malen, who is worth €18million, according to Transfermarkt.

Reports from Italy suggest that Juventus and AS Roma have been scouting the 20-year-old themselves and if this is true, Liverpool need to be wary of being gazumped.

Firmino, Mane and Salah have 21 goals between them this season but if one of them suffers a serious injury Jurgen Klopp will need to put his trust in Divock Origi or Xherdan Shaqiri to match their output.

Malen has scored 10 goals in the Eredivisie this season so it’s clear he has talent but there’s no guarantee he can translate that to the Premier League which is significantly more challenging than Holland’s first division.

Liverpool are gunning for football’s top prizes once again and need the very best players to compete with the likes of Manchester City.
