Liverpool have rejected an offer from Serie A outfit Roma for the services of forward Xherdan Shaqiri, according to Sky Italia.
Roma were looking to bring Shaqiri to Italy on loan in January due to the injury to Nicolo Zaniolo, however, Liverpool could not sanction the move.
The Reds have been hit hard with injury over the past couple of months, meaning Shaqiri is required at Liverpool.
The Reds are competing in the Premier League, Champions League and the FA Cup, meaning there will be minutes available for the Swiss international.
It is unclear whether Shaqiri was interested in the move, as he has only made 10 appearances for Liverpool this season.
One could understand if he were keen to move, as he has not played enough football at Anfield.
However, he has claimed the UEFA Champions League, UEFA Super Cup and the FIFA Club World Cup as a result of being at the club.
He is also a great chance of winning the Premier League this season, as the Reds currently possess a 14-point lead at the top of the table with a game in hand.
Not that he has had a say in this transfer, but he probably would prefer to hang around purely to claim another significant trophy.
