Naby Keita received a hero’s welcome when he arrived at Guinea’s Marrakech training camp, according to Goal.

The 24-year-old won the Champions League with Liverpool on June 1 despite being sidelined with injury.

The No.8 did, however, play a key role in the run-up to the final, scoring three goals in quick succession just before picking up a season-ending injury.

Keita was included in Paul Put’s final squad for the African Cup of Nations despite admitting himself that he’s not fully fit.

However, the combative midfielder received a warm welcome from his teammates and coaching staff upon arrival in Marrakech.

Amadou Makadji of Foot224 tweeted: “A special gift and a big surprise from his teammates in national team. Naby #Keita with all the honors after winning the #UCL with the reds #Sixtimes #LFC.”
