Liverpool loanee Loris Karius has parted ways with Besiktas, according to ntv.

Karius has been out on loan at Besiktas since the beginning of the 2018-19 season. However, his spell away from Anfield appears to have come to an end.

It is being reported that Karius has parted ways with Besiktas after he rejected the payment plan the Turkish club presented to him.

It had been reported earlier that Besiktas owed Karius payments, which is why the goalkeeper was looking to terminate his contract. Karius will now return to Liverpool.

This is not a good ending to Karius’ loan spell in Turkey if this report were to be true. It does appear that Karius’ loan spell has not gone well, as those associated with Besiktas have not had too many positive things to say regarding the goalkeeper.

Former Besiktas manager Senol Gunes has stated that Karius lacks passion for the sport. Karius has also been booed by the Besiktas fans during his time at the club.

Karius did show a lot of promise in the early parts of his career. He was voted the second-best Bundesliga goalkeeper by his fellow professionals before he made the move to Liverpool.

But, things have just not worked out for him since, which can be backed up by the fact that Liverpool loaned him out after two seasons.

It will be interesting to see what Liverpool do with him now.
